Unsophisticated?

I shall be attending the wedding of two good friends, next month, in Atlanta.

As it is an outdoor wedding, and as my lovely parasol cannot come in the airplane with me (it does not fit into my carry-on), I shall have to acquire a Hat.

I found a dress to wear quite easily - and at the Goodwill store, no less! It's a lovely, slightly irridescent rose color, which will have to be taken in a little, but otherwise looks as though it has never even been worn!

I went to Macy's, thinking that there, of all places, there ought to be Nice Hats. (Especially, since it is so close to Easter.) However, I was mistaken! There were about a dozen hats, mostly of the flopply straw variety, but also featuring a bizarre wide-brimmed baseball-hat style.

Is this the epitome of high fashion?

On a whim, as I passed the fragrance section, I decided to try a spritz from the Chanel No. 5 tester, and was given a sample to take home to try out, later. I figured, I am a grown-up (or so I like to believe), and I should try some traditional grown-up fragrance.

However, having had it on for a couple of hours, I cannot help but think that it smells like fancy soap.

Clearly, I am uncouth.
