Shades of blindness

I went back to the eye doc for my one-week checkup.

He wanted to see if the new contacts were working out, and strapped me into the iron maiden machine that shines the supernova-bright light into my eyes. He said that the base curve, combined with the fact that I am so nearsighted I literally cannot see past the end of my nose, is causing the lenses to slide around.

So, he had me try another pair, with a tighter base curve, and told me to come back in another week.

I'm kind of hoping that they'll work out, since the astygmatism is getting worse, and I don't really want to have to wear glasses on top of contacts...

Damn kids! What the hell is wrong with them?

Has the fact that it is finals week reminded them that they only have four days left to jump out in front of my car for the next three months?

It's not that I'm concerned for their safety and well-being, mind you... it's just that I don't want the little fuckers denting my car!
